Al-Sibtain University participated in a course on institutional performance at Al-Kafeel University.

As part of efforts to foster scientific cooperation and enhance institutional capabilities, the Head of the Quality Assurance Department and the Quality Assurance Unit Officer from our university visited Al-Kafeel University to participate in a training course on institutional performance organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The course aimed to develop skills related to the implementation of institutional performance standards and to strengthen mechanisms for assessment and continuous improvement, thereby contributing to the enhancement of academic and administrative performance within educational institutions. This participation aligns with our university’s commitment to supporting institutional development programs and engaging with established university practices, ultimately reflecting positively on performance levels and the quality of educational outcomes.

Workshop on Laboratory Quality Management Systems (LQMS) Al-Sibtain University—the international branch of Tehran University of Medical Sciences—conducted a five-day training workshop for laboratory staff and quality officers. Facilitated by Dr. Zahraa Qasim, a faculty member at the University of Baghdad’s College of Medicine, the workshop provided both theoretical and practical training on the twelve essential elements required—collectively and cohesively—for any reputable laboratory. The sessions also covered global laboratory standards, safety systems, laboratory workflow planning, and the mechanisms for procuring laboratory equipment and materials, among other topics. The workshop aimed to equip trainees with the highest levels of organizational and professional competence, thereby fostering an educational environment for students that rivals that of leading universities.

Al-Sibtain University for Medical Sciences Hosts Training Course on Laboratory Procedural Methods As part of its ongoing commitment to modernization, development, and the advancement of its educational mission, the Quality Assurance Department—in collaboration with the Continuing Education Department at Al-Sibtain University for Medical Sciences—organized a training course titled "Laboratory Procedural Methods." The course, conducted by Zahraa Ali Thabit (an instructor at the College of Dentistry, University of Karbala), aimed to implement national laboratory accreditation standards within the university’s laboratories, with the ultimate goal of aligning with international standards. Experts specializing in laboratory quality and academic education from the University of Karbala were engaged to facilitate this initiative. The training course will span several days and conclude with a final assessment for participants.
